Welcome to Ressy!

Residential care needs more than a standard, generic rota and workforce management tool. Meet Ressy, a connected workspace for shifts, staffing, leave and workforce records, designed to give managers less administration and more time for their home.

Ressy.co.uk

Running a residential home means keeping a lot moving at once. There are shifts to cover, overnight handovers to manage, leave requests to review, certificates to renew and staff records to keep up to date.

When that information sits across spreadsheets, emails and separate systems, even a small change can create more work.

Ressy was created to bring those everyday tasks together, with residential care at the centre of its design.

A rota that understands the whole shift

Many general-purpose rota systems organise work into individual daily shifts. Residential care often works differently.

A duty might begin at 10am, include active hours and a sleep-in, then finish after the following morning’s handover. Staff may work consecutive residential duties, waking nights, training sessions or management hours.

Ressy reflects those patterns. Overnight duties stay connected across dates, while day staffing, sleep-in and waking-night requirements are assessed separately. Management shifts remain visible without being counted as direct-care staffing.

It gives managers a clearer picture of who is working, when they are working and where cover is needed.

Less chasing when plans change

Managers can prepare an unpublished rota without sending staff a notification for every adjustment. When it is ready, publishing shares an overview with the team; subsequent changes to published duties trigger individual updates.

Where published shifts have gaps, managers can send cover requests to available linked staff. Employees can offer to work, with assignments remaining subject to management approval and checks for conflicting duties or absences.

Agency cover can be added directly to the rota. Group plans also support borrowing staff from another home, with duties already assigned elsewhere shown as unavailable.

Connected information, fewer repeated tasks

Ressy connects the rota with leave, absences and payroll reporting, helping managers work from the same underlying records.

Leave requests include dates and times, with overlapping team absences visible during management review. Payroll reports bring together active hours, sleep hours, sleep counts, annual leave and sickness information over a selected period.

With Pro, staff profiles also bring together qualifications, employment documents, policy acknowledgements and signed workforce reviews.

The aim is simple: enter information where it belongs and make it useful elsewhere.

A training matrix that follows your records

Keeping a separate training spreadsheet up to date can become a job in itself.

In Ressy Pro, managers record a qualification and attach its certificate to the employee’s profile. The training matrix updates from that saved record, using the organisation’s requirements for each role.

Managers can see missing, current and expiring training, plan renewal bookings and export the matrix as a PDF for reviews, audits and inspection preparation.

This supports record keeping and evidence gathering for services working with Ofsted, CQC and the Care Inspectorate. Compliance still depends on the service’s training, practice and applicable requirements.

From a discussion to a signed record

Return to Work, probation reviews, appraisals, supervisions, support sessions and disciplinary records can stay together on the employee’s profile.

Managers can save drafts, complete the relevant review and submit it for employee acknowledgement. Staff can draw or upload a signature, with the account and time recorded. PDF copies are available after submission and show when an employee signature is still pending.

Organisations can also use their own review documents while keeping the signing process within Ressy.

Designed for care, priced by the home

Generic workforce software can suit many organisations, typically it is a struggle for residential care. Ressy takes a more focused approach: residential duties, sleep-ins, handovers, care staffing requirements and workforce evidence are part of the same system.

Ressy Lite starts at £29 per month for one home, covering the rota essentials, leave, absence recording, staffing oversight and payroll reports.

Ressy Pro starts at £49 per month for one home, adding the wider workforce toolkit, including private documents, the training matrix, policy acknowledgements and signed staff reviews.

Group plans support multiple homes with discounts as the organisation grows. Pricing is based on homes rather than individual staff accounts, making costs easier to understand as teams change.

The value goes beyond the subscription price. Bringing connected tasks into one place can reduce repeated data entry, separate spreadsheets and the time spent chasing information.

Our aim is to make the administration around residential care clearer, more connected and easier to manage.
